Update on holiday PTO transfer to regular PTO balance

PTO BN

With the launch of the new PTO accrual program, PTO for all holidays is now included in your regular PTO accrual. Some caregivers have noticed that their PTO Holiday hours appeared to be missing or that an incorrect PTO total was displayed in Kronos, Workday, or both. The HR team apologizes for this inconvenience. The PTO change required the transfer of your PTO Holiday bucket to your regular PTO bucket and the process has taken more time than expected. This transfer is now complete in Kronos and is expect it to be fully complete in Workday by Saturday, January 9.

What this means for you:

  • PTO balances have now been corrected in Kronos and you can continue to enter PTO requests. The “PTO Holiday” option is no longer available because those hours have been added to your regular PTO bucket.
  •  PTO balances are loaded into Workday on the last day of each pay period. You’ll be able to see your total PTO balance in Workday starting January 9. Please refer to Kronos for your PTO balance until then.
  • If there has been an error in requesting PTO Holiday hours during the last two pay periods and you weren’t paid correctly, please follow the retro payroll correction process for your department. Please remember to enter any retro PTO as regular PTO because “PTO Holiday” is no longer an option.
  • Ask HR is working through more than 1,000 tickets with questions or concerns about this change and appreciates your patience and understanding as they work to resolve the tickets.
