Intermountain's data center moves from Texas to St. George

Intermountain CTIS is moving our data center from Plano, Texas to the Tonaquint data center in St. George, Utah. The move will save money, increases our ability to monitor hardware and connectivity, and relieves strain on McKay-Dee Hospital’s data center.

The moving process has taken several months. As applications are moved, application owners and support teams are engaged in the process to ensure each application has a smooth transition to its new location. The next wave of migrations will begin Monday, March 15.

The migrations from Plano are planned to be completed by June. Between May and June, CTIS will remove any remaining infrastructure and complete the formal shutdown of the Plano facility. During that timeframe, we’ll also be migrating applications from McKay-Dee to Tonaquint.
