Here's how we're doing on our system KPI's and how it affects your incentive pay

The 2021 monthly performance dashboard for February illustrates an overall achievement score of 61% on Intermountain’s eleven board-reported key performance indicators (KPIs). The KPIs reflect the work you and other caregivers do every day to achieve team and department goals and are part of the new caregiver incentive plan. You’re encouraged to review the performance dashboard with your leader and team. There are resources on the caregiver incentive plan webpage to help you understand the KPI definitions, targets, scoring, and how work is aligned to the system’s overall performance.

Some highlights from February’s performance:

  • Caregiver safety: While there were fewer caregiver injuries from sharps, slips/trips/falls, and patient handling, there was an increase in workplace violence injuries. Continue using workplace violence prevention measures and review the recognize and respond guidelines with your team.
  • Caregiver equity: We’re on target with four of our five caregiver equity initiatives, with the greatest improvement in caregivers participating in the self-identification process. If you haven’t updated your personal information, please log on to Workday and select “Personal Information.”
  • Caregiver engagement: Your leader will check in with your team to review engagement action plans. Discuss progress and update or revise as needed.

Remember, our KPIs are intended to drive improvement across the system with identified targets by December 31. Improvements made throughout the year will result in increased monthly achievement scores. You can learn more about this journey by watching this video.

The caregiver incentive plan replaces the thank-you payment. Payments will no longer happen in November, and the first payout based on the 2021 board-reported KPI overall achievement is scheduled for April 2022—after the Intermountain Board of Trustees approval.

To be eligible for the payment, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be hired before October 1 of a calendar year
  • Work at least 100 hours by year-end
  • Be employed on the date of the payout
