Updated meeting guidelines and a new tip sheet will help you with hybrid meetings

Hybrid Meeting BNs

Intermountain’s Effective Meeting Guidelines have been updated and a new tip sheet has been created to support our new environment of hybrid meetings. A hybrid meeting is where a part of the audience joins from the office or other in-person location, and another part joins remotely. These types of meetings will happen more with Flexwork, as caregivers now work in offices and facilities and remote locations.

Meetings are a necessary part of the work we do. The updates to the Effective Meeting Guidelines will help you—as someone who may physically be in a meeting room or who may be remote—focus on best practices as you prepare, schedule, facilitate, and participate in meetings. The Hybrid Meeting Tip Sheet supports the guidelines, while providing more in-depth information and tips about conducting and participating in a hybrid meeting so that all participants feel valued and included. The tip sheet is one of several resources in the Effective Meeting Toolbox.

“As the Executive Leadership Team has participated in hybrid meetings, we’ve discovered some technology bumps and growing pains. Teams have researched and taken learnings to implement best practices to help all of us be successful with this new meeting model,” says Heather Brace, senior vice president and chief people officer. “We’re committed to our hybrid work culture. Please use these guidelines and tips and find what works best for you and your team. Remember to first stop and determine if a meeting is actually necessary and be accountable to one another and those we’re here to serve.”

The effective meeting toolbox will continue to expand as new and improved resources become available. Do you have a great tip on effective meetings—particularly ones that are hybrid or all remote? Please share your ideas on the Effective Meeting Toolbox webpage.
