Since many of us now commute from our kitchens, being safe on the internet while working from home is paramount to keeping Intermountain’s and our patient’s data safe. The Cybersecurity team recommends the following steps for keeping yourself—and Intermountain—safe on the Internet:

  • Find a dedicated space for your home office.
  • Don’t leave confidential information such as intellectual property, patient health information, or payment card information where others might see it.
  • Don’t email documents to your personal email account.
  • Printing Intermountain materials at home isn’t permitted.
  • Only use approved Intermountain applications to communicate with your team.
  • Make sure you’re following the Intermountain Telework Policy.
  • Don’t use personal devices for business.
  • Don’t allow others to use Intermountain equipment or share your password or login ID, even with family members.
