After reviewing progress made systemwide to attain key performance indicators (KPIs) in 2021, the Intermountain Board of Trustees, Audit Committee, and Compensation Committee approved the payout of 2021 incentives. Incentive payments for caregivers will occur on pay period 7—your April 8 paycheck.

As a result of the 126% attainment score for 2021, caregivers are slated to receive the following incentive payments:

  • Full-time caregivers who averaged 30 hours or more a week in 2021 will receive $567.
  • Part-time caregivers who averaged less than 30 hours a week in 2021 will receive $283.50.

To receive the caregiver incentive plan payment for 2021, you must:

  1. Not be eligible for a leader incentive.
  2. Have worked full-time, part-time, per diem, or PRN.
  3. Be hired before October 1, 2021.
  4. Worked at least 100 hours by year end.
  5. Be currently employed at the time of payout.

To view your incentive payment amount, log into Workday and follow these instructions. You can also review how your average hours worked was factored into these calculations. The caregiver incentive plan includes caregivers in Utah, Idaho (including Saltzer Health), Nevada, SelectHealth, Castell, and Ventures. Temporary caregivers aren’t eligible.

Because incentives are processed through our regular payroll cycle, incentives will be taxed according to your W4 information. You can also take an opportunity to direct additional funds to your retirement accounts, like your 401(k), and/or your Health Savings Account (HSA). Contribution changes must be made in your T. Rowe Price account for retirement or in Workday for your HSA by April 1 at 10 p.m. MT.

More information about the caregiver incentive plan, including progress and payment targets for 2022, can be found on the caregiver incentive plan website. If you have additional questions about the incentive process, please speak with your leader or contact Ask HR at 801-442-7547 or email askhr@imail.org.
