Checking in about Check-Ins: Record your first quarter Check-In conversation in Workday by March 31

Check in 2BN

As we enter the last month of the quarter, only 11% of caregivers have recorded a Check-In conversation in Workday. Plan now to document at least one Check-In conversation in Workday by March 31. A Check-In is a timely, future-focused, open dialogue conversation where leaders and caregivers connect and discuss contributions to team results and desired growth opportunities.

Documenting your Check-Ins allows you to track conversations quarter to quarter, create transparency between you and your leader, and highlight what’s important to you. Check-Ins can be recorded on a computer or through the Workday app on your phone.

As you identify development goals or stretch assignments, remember to record them in the Development Items section of Workday. This helps build your career profile for further growth opportunities and creates a portfolio that’s easy to share as you continue to advance your career.

Already had a Check-In conversation with your leader, but forgot to record it in Workday? Here are some tips to help you make it part of the process:

  • Open Workday at the beginning or end of your Check-In as a reminder to document key pieces of the conversation.
  • Set up a reminder task or alarm n your phone or calendar following your Check-In.
  • Schedule your Check-In for 10 minutes longer than your conversation so you have time blocked to go into Workday and record the conversation.

Leave a comment and share what helps you remember to record a Check-In in Workday.

A reminder email will be sent Wednesday, March 9, to all caregivers who still need to document a Check-In conversation in Workday for this quarter. Leaders can review their Check-In Dashboard to verify Check-In completion rates for their team and organizational rollup.
