Intermountain is launching the DEI in Action initiative to help you understand and integrate practices that support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in your everyday work. DEI in Action will present a new topic each month to help increase your knowledge. Teams can use the provided topic guides and learning resources to help raise their understanding of the issues. April’s topic is “Introducing DEI in Action.”

“Equity is one of our Fundamentals of Extraordinary Care at Intermountain,” says Mikelle Moore, senior vice president and chief Community Health officer. “Every team at Intermountain, from clinical to operations to support services, can bring equity to our work as we seek to eliminate disparities and create opportunities for caregivers, patients, members, and communities to thrive. Join fellow Intermountain caregivers and I in growing our equity knowledge by visiting our DEI in Action resources.”

The initiative was co-created by caregivers from across the organization. Members of the planning group represent a variety of service lines across the organization. If you’re interested in joining the planning group, please contact Kathryn Leslie (they/them) at Kathryn.leslie@imail.org.

Visit the DEI in Action webpage to view the calendar of equity topics and what to expect in the coming months.
