Delta Community Hospital opens 4,000-square-foot expansion

Delta Community Hospital recently completed a $3 million expansion project that added 4,000-square-feet to the small rural facility. It’s the hospital’s first major expansion since it opened in 1985.

A look at the new emergency department.

The expansion increased the size of the emergency department to add a behavioral health room, triage room, three additional privacy beds, and a personal emergent room. The Lab also expanded to provide additional patient privacy, quicker access to lab draws, and better workspaces. The expansion also made room for dedicated ultra-sound space, as well as more room for the pharmacy.

Ches Jacobson, RN, Delta nurse administrator, says the expansion will improve caregivers’ ability to provide outstanding patient care for their community.

“We work with amazing caregivers and these caregivers want to make sure every patient, every time, gets the very best experience and care we can provide,” Ches says.
