Parenteral nutrition ordering

Intermountain’s current ordering and management system for parenteral nutrition (PN) is changing to the APEX PN Nutritional Assistance platform. Impacted caregivers include physicians, APPs, pharmacists, nutrition, and nurses. Training and support for the new tool will be available beginning August 1. 

The new APEX PN Nutritional Assistance platform will allow for:

  • One cohesive, consistent ordering and management system and experience for caregivers managing adults, pediatric, and homecare patients
  • Long-term, comprehensive IT support for its software

APEX PN Nutritional Assistance will go live for Primary Children’s Hospital starting Tuesday, August 16. The program will go live for Homecare and in children’s units at the rest of the hospitals in the Canyons and Desert regions starting Tuesday, September 20.
