Scott Mortensen has been selected as the new administrator of Layton Hospital. Scott assumes this new role from Judy Williamson, who was selected as the new administrator of McKay-Dee Hospital in August. He’ll report to Kelly Duffin, north market president of the Canyons Region.
Scott has been with Intermountain for 12 years, most recently serving as operations officer at McKay-Dee Hospital. Starting in that role in 2016, Scott has successfully overseen clinical operations, business development, ancillary and support services, and helped with interim administrator duties.
“Scott was selected from a strong field of internal and external candidates and brings with him the operational skill and acumen that will continue to strengthen Layton Hospital,” Kelly says. “I have the utmost confidence in him, his leadership team, and the caregivers at Layton Hospital, as he steps into this new role.”
