Intermountain is partnering with two Utah schools to offer free education and training for caregivers who’d like to become surgical technologists. Application deadlines are quickly approaching. These programs are open to benefits-eligible caregivers in good standing. Interested caregivers will undergo a selection process to be considered.

Here are the programs:

  • Intermountain Healthcare and Mountainland Technical College: Apply now in Workday by October 28. Mountainland Technical College is located in Lehi. The program is 12 months, with classes beginning January 17, 2023. In addition to completing the Workday application, you must apply to Mountainland Technical College and meet their requirements by November 15.

  • Intermountain Healthcare and Davis Technical College: Apply now in Workday by October 28. Davis Technical College is located in Kaysville. The program is 16 to 20 months, depending on the caregiver’s pace, with classes beginning January 10, 2023. In addition to completing the Workday application, you must apply to Davis Technical College and meet their requirements by November 4.

If selected for the program, Intermountain will cover the cost of tuition and program fees. You’ll be responsible for textbooks and all other costs. Upon program completion, you’ll work in a surgical tech role in an Intermountain facility.
