Intermountain's KPI scores are at 107%.

Intermountain’s overall KPI system attainment, as of August 31 is 107%. It’s a 4% increase over last year’s performance at this time. Our performance score remains the same as last month. Get more details by visiting Intermountain’s Monthly Performance Dashboard for August.

The performance dashboard measures our overall progress to attaining the nine Board-reported key performance indicators (KPIs) each month, which influences the 2022 caregiver incentive plan.

“Thank you for your continued work to support our patients, members, and communities by delivering on our 2022 strategic priorities,” says Rob Allen, chief operating officer. “We each play an important role in Intermountain’s success, and what you do everyday matters. As we approach the final quarter of the year, it’s time to keep our foot on the pedal and continue our positive progress to attaining this year’s KPIs.”

The caregiver incentive plan encourages you to take ownership in driving team and department success and rewards you monetarily for accountability and ownership to drive improvement and performance in key priorities for the organization. The lower the overall KPI achievement, the lower the payment you’ll receive. The higher the overall KPI percentage attained, the larger the incentive payment caregivers in the Canyons and Desert regions—both part-time and full-time—will receive next spring. For example, at 107%, full-time caregivers would earn $481.50, and part-time caregivers would earn $240.75. Peaks Region caregivers aren’t eligible for the caregiver incentive payment this year.

Below are several other actions to help influence KPI progress. You can find more in the Get to Know Our 2022 KPIs guide. During an upcoming Check-In or team meeting, talk to your leader about which actions resonate with you and how you can implement them in your day-to-day workRemember, actions you take every day toward achieving your team and department goals influence system progress.

  • Review the monthly DEI in Action materials. Our equity finished above target level goals for August, but there’s always opportunities to make Intermountain an inclusive, equitable environment for all. DEI in Action offers different monthly topics so you can integrate practices into the care and services you provide to all our patients and members.
  • Look at this month’s Compassionate Connections focus, “I respect you.” While we reached target goal in July, August’s Likelihood to Recommend KPI slipped back to entry goal. As we continue to enhance the patient experience, review this month’s Compassionate Connections materials and discuss them. How can you and your team show respect to patients and visitors to influence a positive experience?
  • Start thinking about next year and the experience you want on your team. More than 49,000 caregivers participated in this year’s Caregiver Experience Survey and shared their voice. We look forward to receiving the results as an organization in late October. As we wait for the results, you can start proactively thinking about what improvements or opportunities you’d like your team to focus on in 2023, or things that are happening right now that you’d like to continue.
