TOSH Partners with Utah Youth Soccer Association

Murray, UT (8/14/2008) - The Utah Youth Soccer Association and TOSH, The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital, are teaming up to help the state's thousands of youth soccer players remain on the field and not be sidelined by injuries.

As part of a new three-year partnership with the Utah Youth Soccer Association, TOSH will provide on-site athletic trainer coverage at UYSA events, free sports performance training for each UYSA club, and extensive performance and injury-reduction education for youth soccer coaches and athletes.

"In an effort to be responsible advocates to our members, we felt it necessary to secure a sponsorship with TOSH that benefits the members of Utah Youth Soccer both with the training and recovery aspects associated with the sport of soccer," said Bobby Ginn, UYSA Executive Director.

The Utah Youth Soccer Association is the state's largest soccer organization and governing body for youth soccer in Utah on behalf of the United States Soccer Federation.

As the official performance training and sports medicine center for the Utah Youth Soccer Association, TOSH will work with hundreds of coaches throughout the state to enhance proper training techniques to help reduce injuries among the state's young soccer players.

"We are thrilled to partner with the Utah Youth Soccer Association," says TOSH administrator Bryan Johnson. "An important part of our mission is to not only provide excellent orthopedic and sports medicine care to our patients, but to help these young athletes avoid injuries."

TOSH, located in Murray with satellite clinics in Park City and at the Olympic Oval in Kearns, is one of the country's premier centers for orthopedic surgery, orthopedic research, sports performance training, comprehensive physical therapy and rehab, and sports medicine programs.

TOSH's broad range of service includes TOSH Acceleration training, sports medicine, sports biomechanics, physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, nutrition, biomechanical engineering, and exercise and sport physiology.
