SelectHealth Wins "Best Companies to Work For" Award

SelectHealth has been named one of Utah’s “Best Companies to Work For” for the third consecutive year. The recognition, featured in Utah Business magazine’s December 2009 issue, was based on benefits offered as well as an independent survey of employees.

“Congratulations to all of our employees for this wonderful honor,” said Pat Richards, president and CEO. “During the time I have been at SelectHealth, it is apparent to me that we have a very talented, committed, and caring work force. The strong culture of teamwork and service provides a solid foundation that will help us understand and meet the needs of our customers even in these challenging economic times,” she said.

SelectHealth’s more than 800 employees are part of a culture of service striving to bring value and to make a difference for customers. As an organization, SelectHealth identifies and implements ways to meet the evolving needs of employees, customers, and the community.

In addition, an Employee Advisory Council serves as an employee voice in company policy and direction. This 19-member group evaluates needs and implements actions to continue to enhance the workplace. The following are a few initiatives led by the council and other employee groups:

• Free Fitness Fridays at the on-site fitness center and basketball court
• Employee appreciation activities
• Organization service opportunities
• Monroe Elementary School student mentoring.
