Intermountain Medical Center Delivers Its 15,000th Baby

MURRAY, UT (4/30,2010) – Katie and Cameron Erwin of Lehi are the proud parents of a beautiful baby boy, Beckham Erwin, the 15,000th baby delivered at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.

Beckham was born on Wednesday (April 28), at 6:01 p.m. He weighs 7 pounds, 10 ounces and is 21 1/2 inches long. Katie got to the hospital at about 9 a.m. Wednesday morning and delivered Beckham about nine hours later. Both mom and baby are doing fine. Beckham has two older siblings – a nine-year-old brother, Carson, and a five-year-old sister, McKinley.

"This is really exciting," says Katie. "This is a great place to deliver a baby. Everyone has been so caring and thoughtful. We appreciate the great care that we have received. We are thrilled to have this wonderful addition to our family."

As the 15,000th baby delivered at Intermountain Medical Center, Katie was presented with a special gift basket from David Grauer, administrator of Intermountain Medical Center.

“On behalf of Intermountain Medical Center and our employees, we want to congratulate you and your family, and thank you for allowing us to be part of this special event in your life,” Grauer told Katie.

Intermountain Medical Center opened in October 2007. In 2 1/2 years, it has become the busiest maternity hospital in the state, delivering more babies than any other hospital in the Intermountain West.
