Introducing Vanessa M. Hart, MD

We are pleased to have Dr. Vanessa Hart practicing general surgery at Park City Specialty Clinic. Dr. Hart began her medical education in Chicago, IL, receiving her medical degree from Rush Medical College before completing an internship and surgical residency at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center. During her residency, she conducted and published research on esophageal cancer and cryosurgery of breast cancer. She also took a humanitarian trip to Honduras to treat burn victims and children with congenital defects.

Dr. Hart earned the title of major in the United States Air Force and received an honorable discharge. After completing her residency, she worked at Edwards Air Force Base in California, where she was a general surgeon and a physician for NASA shuttle landings. She later served as a general surgeon at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. Dr. Hart comes to Utah from St. Petersburg, FL, where she spent the majority of her career. She was vice chairman of the department of surgery at St. Anthony’s Hospital and directed the Susan Sheppard McGillicuddy Breast Center, which she was highly instrumental in creating.

Board certified, Dr. Hart is an accomplished surgeon who has undergone extensive specialized training including breast imaging and intervention and advanced laparoscopic techniques.
