Introducing Glen Porter, MD

It's a pleasure to introduce Dr. Glen Porter, an expert physician practicing at the new Utah Valley ENT clinic. Board certified in both otolaryngology and sleep medicine, Dr. Porter earned his medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. In 2005, he completed an otolaryngology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. Porter then moved to Nevada to practice otolaryngology at Mike O’Callaghan Federal Hospital, located on Nellis Air Force Base. While in Nevada, he also practiced at William Bee Ririe Hospital on the Otolaryngology and Allergy staff and later served as the hospital's Sleep Laboratory Medical Director. Dr. Porter moved to Utah one year ago and began practicing ENT in American Fork before deciding to join Intermountain.

In 2004, Dr. Porter earned a Humanitarian Efforts Resident Travel Grant, which allowed him to travel to Linyi, China to perform free facial reconstructive surgery. He later took two humanitarian trips to provide cleft palate correction: one to Pucallpa, Peru and another to Palankalan in the Philippines.

Dr. Porter is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. His many research and publication credits cover topics including cochlear implants and eyelid surgery in Asians. In his spare time, Dr. Porter enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time with his wife and their six children.
