Intermountain Healthcare Hosts Family Health Fair at Logan Regional Hospital Saturday, August 28

(Logan, UT) August 19, 2010. Intermountain Healthcare is holding a family health fair on Saturday, August 28, 2010, on the Logan Regional Hospital Campus at 500 East 1400 North. The event includes 30 activities celebrating Logan Regional Hospital’s 30th anniversary at its current location.

The family health fair includes health screenings, activities, and presentations for all ages. Free health screenings include cholesterol, BMI, blood pressure, blood sugar, children’s growth assessments, glaucoma, macular degeneration, hearing, and more. There will also be $5 A1C tests available.

Activities at the fair include operating room tours (with free bike helmets for the first 100 people to tour the O.R.), free children’s DNA/fingerprint identification kits, Logan Fire/EMS activities, Life Flight helicopter, giant inflatable activities, exercise workshops, prize drawings, $4 bike helmets, and many other activities.

Two free health presentations will also be available at the fair. Dr. Clinic Field, child psychologist with Budge Clinic Pediatrics, will speak on “Effective Ways to Get Your Kids to Behave” at 10 and 11 a.m.; and David Adams, M.D., Budge Clinic urologist, will speak on “Bladder and Prostate Health,” at noon.
