Introducing Michael D. Eifling

We welcome Dr. Michael Eifling to the McKay-Dee Cardiology Clinic, where he practices cardiac electrophysiology—the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. He performs a broad range of electrophysiology procedures.

Dr. Eifling earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado in Denver, where he was honored with the James Waring Award for scholarly achievement in internal medicine and the Gold Headed Cane Award for Promise as an Outstanding Physician. Continuing with the University of Colorado, Dr. Eifling completed an internship and residency in internal medicine and was chosen as chief medical resident. He then conducted fellowships in adult cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston. He served as Chief Cardiology Fellow and was awarded the Best Clinical Review at the Frontiers of Cardiology Conference. Dr. Eifling is board certified in internal medicine, nuclear medicine, and cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Eifling has led seven medical expeditions to remote regions of the Himalayan mountains with the Himalayan Health Exchange and Project Heart. On these trips, he provided care to underserved residents of India and Tibet and directed the treatment of patients with rheumatic heart disease.

Dr. Eifling has served for several years on two advisory boards for electrophysiology fellows. His hobbies include restoring classic automobiles, traveling, skiing, and landscape photography.
