Introducing Heather D. Major, MD

McKay-Dee Maternal Fetal Medicine is pleased to welcome Dr. Heather Major, a board certified physician. Dr. Major earned her medical degree from the University of Utah, earning several awards in her final year. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Louisville in Kentucky before joining a nearby practice, Medifem Health. In 2001, Dr. Major returned to Utah to work as physician and partner at Ogden Women’s Clinic, during which time she won the James R. Scott Award from the University of Utah. She recently completed a fellowship in maternal fetal medicine with the University of Utah’s Obstetrics and Gynecology Department.

At the University of Utah and Weber State University, Dr. Major has taught and given guest lectures on topics including organ systems and women’s health issues. She has published several peer-reviewed articles and is extremely knowledgeable in issues related to spontaneous preterm birth.
