Introducing Heidi H. Jackson, MD

We’d like to welcome Dr. Heidi Jackson to Bryner Surgical Specialists. A Utah Native, Dr. Jackson received her medical degree at the University of Utah, where she served on the Admissions Committee. She also tutored a physiology course, volunteered at the 4th Street Clinic for the homeless, and co-managed the Glendale Outreach Project. Dr. Jackson remained at the University of Utah following medical school, completing a general surgery residency and two year research fellowship. In 2004, she was honored as House Officer of the Year at the Intermountain Burn Center.

Dr. Jackson has taught a course on general surgery for the Utah Physician Assistant Program. She is a prolific researcher, having published and presented widely. She has recently given presentations on laparoscopy and the familial bases of gastric and gallbladder cancers.
