Introducing Jerry M. John, MD, MS

The McKay-Dee Cardiology Clinic is pleased to announce the arrival of Dr. Jerry John. Dr. John completed his medical degree at Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine in East Lansing, where he won honors in Integrated Clinical Correlations. He arrived at the University of Utah in 2001 for an internal medicine residency, followed by a fellowship in Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation. Dr. John then traveled to Winston-Salem, North Carolina to complete a master’s degree, where he studied diastolic heart failure. He recently completed a cardiovascular medicine fellowship at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Ohio.

Dr. John has authored several publications, and his master’s thesis regarding exercise intolerance in patients with diastolic heart failure won first place from the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Cardiology. Outside of work, Dr. John’s hobbies include mountain biking, alpine skiing, Mediterranean cooking, and Near East studies.
