Introducing Matthew E. Mainord, MD

We’re pleased to introduce Dr. Matthew Mainord, who has joined Dr. Huff at Utah Valley Internal Medicine. Dr. Mainord completed his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, then fulfilled an internal medicine residency at the Kettering Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. In 2007, Dr. Mainord completed his medical school clinical training and worked as a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technician at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey.

The author of many research publications, Dr. Mainord is currently researching physician-patient risk communication. He is well-trained in procedures including echocardiography, stress testing, cardioversion, and thoracentesis.

Dr. Mainord grew up in Price, Utah. He speaks Italian, and he and his wife are parents to five children.
