Sports Nutrition Class Set for September at Utah Valley Regional

Practice makes perfect, but proper nutrition is also vital for athletes to excel in any sport. A free seminar at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center will help athletes, parents, trainers and coaches understand what it takes to fuel an active body.

Taught by a registered sports dietitian, the “Basic Sports Nutrition” seminar will take place in the hospital’s Northwest Plaza Clark Auditorium starting at 6 p.m. Participants will learn the basics of nutrition for high school athletes including the roles that protein, carbohydrates and fat play in fueling the body. Handouts and recipes will also be provided.

Anyone interested in attending the Basic Sports Nutrition seminar is asked to RSVP to Brent Edgington at 801.357. 4771. There is no cost to attend.
