Introducing Minita S. Patel, MD, MS

Dr. Minita Patel, an expert urogynecologist, practices at the new McKay-Dee Urogynecology clinic in Ogden. Dr. Patel attended New Jersey Medical School in Newark and graduated Alpha Omega Alpha. Moving to Pennsylvania, she completed an OB/GYN residency at the University of Pittsburgh in association with Magee Women's Hospital. During this time, she spent one month at a maternity hospital in Ahmedabad, India assisting with deliveries, c-sections, hysterectomies, and outpatient care.

In 2007, Dr. Patel enrolled at the University of Connecticut in Hartford, simultaneously completing both a urogynecology fellowship and a master’s degree in Clinical and Translational Research.

Dr. Patel has been published extensively in publications such as the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Journal of Reproductive Medicine, and the International Urogynecology Journal. Additionally, Dr. Patel has given many presentations on topics including prolapse and pelvic reconstructive surgery. The recipient of numerous honors and awards, she recently won Best Clinical Science Paper at a meeting of the American Urogynecology Society.
