Introducing Andrew P. Talbott, MD

Dr. Andrew Talbott has joined Park City Specialty East, practicing pain management and anesthesiology. Dr. Talbott earned his medical degree at the University of Louisville in Kentucky before completing an internal medicine internship and an anesthesiology residency at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Moving to Salt Lake City, he fulfilled a fellowship in pain medicine at the University of Utah. Since that time, Dr. Talbott has practiced pain medicine at a private clinic in Salt Lake City, where he also participated in pain research. In his research he examined the efficacy and safety of a variety of pain medications and procedures.

Dr. Talbott made several medical volunteer trips to Kathmandu, Nepal. He has also volunteered medical services at several Ironman Wisconsin events. Dr. Talbott stays current on medical training and is board certified in both anesthesiology and pain medicine. He belongs to the International Spine Intervention Society, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

Dr. Talbott and Mary Jean Walker, NP diagnose and treat all types of acute and chronic pain related to injury, degenerative disease and other factors. They use a multi-disciplinary approach to restoring and improving patients’ ability to function. Dr. Talbott and Ms. Walker provide a multitude of procedural interventions and medical management, and work with the patient to develop a personalized treatment plan. Dr. Talbott is adept at many procedures including epidural steroid injections, facet blocks, radiofrequency denervation, spinal cord stimulator trials and implants, intrathecal pump implants, sympathetic blocks, vertebroplasty, and kyphoplasty.
