Adam R. Taintor, MD

We’re pleased to welcome Dr. Adam Taintor, a talented dermatologist who recently joined our clinic, serving patients from Sandy and across the Salt Lake City area. A native of South Davis County, Dr. Taintor is a graduate of Weber State University. He earned his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, where he was active in student leadership, research and volunteering. Dr. Taintor completed an internship at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray. He recently finished his dermatology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee where he served as Chief Resident.

The recipient of many awards and honors, Dr. Taintor belongs the American Academy of Dermatology, the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, the American Contact Dermatitis Society, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Medical Association. His many service-oriented activities include medical expeditions to Nepal and Peru.

Dr. Taintor has publication credits on topics including infantile hemangiomas, dermatitis herpetiformis, and contact dermatitis.

His specialty training includes pediatric skin conditions such as birthmarks, moles, warts, rashes and eczema and adult skin conditions such as rosacea, skin cancer, psoriasis and complex skin disease such as lupus and blistering diseases.

Dr. Taintor enjoys spending time with his wife and five children. He also enjoys cooking, cycling and camping.
