Skyline 10K@10K Race on August 6

Utah's Highest Race in its Eighth Year

Runners and walkers are invited to the eight annual SKYLINE 10K@10K — a 10,000 meter race at 10,000 feet. The high altitude race and Mountain Walk will begin at 9 a.m. on August 6.

The course is entirely on a paved surface and begins on Highway 31 at the top of Fairview Canyon, located in Sanpete County in central Utah. The race will begin at approximately 9,300 ft. elevation level and proceed on an uphill grade for about three kilometers to the summit, which is about the 10,000 ft. level. It will then continue on a downhill grade for the next seven kilometers to conclude at approximately the 9,100 ft. level. The finish line will be at the parking lot of Huntington Reservoir Dam.

The Mountain Walk is an easy 7K walk almost entirely on a downhill grade following the scenic race course. Proceeds from the event will go to the Sanpete Valley Hospital Foundation to help the Mt. Pleasant hospital.

Participation is $25 for those who register through July 31. The entry fee for who sign up from August 1 to August 6 is $30. Registration for Mountain Walk participants is $15. Cash prizes will be awarded to winners. To register and for more information, visit the Skyline 10K@10K website, at skyline10k.com, or you can contact Mark Beck directly at 435-462-2698.
