Bireen L. Whitten, MD

The Salt Lake Clinic proudly welcomes Dr. Bireen Whitten, a board-certified internal medicine doctor. Dr. Whitten has served as an outpatient primary care doctor at the Pacific Medical Center in Lynwood, Washington, the Internal Medicine Specialist Clinic in Pioneer Valley Hospital, in Salt Lake City, and at the VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City. Dr. Whitten earned her medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina, and completed an Internal Medicine internship and residency at the University of Utah.

Dr. Whitten has traveled around the world to broaden her knowledge. She elected to study International Child and Family Health in Quito, Ecuador; she studied internal medicine and pediatric health in relation to the kidneys at York Central Hospital in Toronto, Ontario; and she took a special interest in general surgery at Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage.

She thoroughly enjoys community service opportunities, utilizing her conversational French skills, and outdoor adventures involving telemark skiing, trail running and mountain biking.

Dr. Whitten, an internal medicine doctor, has joined the Salt Lake Clinic.
