How can we help?
This week Modern Healthcare magazine includes Intermountain's Charles Sorenson, MD, president and CEO, in its annual ranking of the "100 Most Influential People in Healthcare."
Dr. Sorenson was ranked 54 on the ranking, which recognizes men and women in a variety of roles who are considered among the most influential throughout the industry, as chosen by readers of the magazine. Modern Healthcare reported that given the intense debate of the government's role in healthcare, it was no surprise Washington insiders prominently place among the "100 Most Influential." Other CEOs of prominent health systems named to the list include the Mayo Clinic, Geisinger Health System, Kaiser Permanente, and the Cleveland Clinic.
The process asked voters to select five candidates from the ballot of 300 individuals based on more than 414,000 nominations.

Intermountain continues to be recognized nationally as a leader and model for quality care at the lowest appropriate cost. Recently, the magazine recognized Dr. Sorenson, Brent James, MD, chief quality officer, and Arnold Milstein, MD, a member of Intermountain's Board of Trustees and professor of medicine at Stanford University, among the "50 Most Influential Physician Executives in Healthcare."
