John D. McCarter, MD

Dr. John D. McCarter is now caring for obstetrics and gynecology patients at Central Orem Clinic. Dr. McCarter completed his medical degree at Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus. He then attended Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio, where he researched and presented on physician intervention and weight gain in pregnancy. Dr. McCarter was also involved in research at Ohio State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he focused on spinal cord injuries and the protective effects of estrogen.

Dr. McCarter is a member of the American Medical Association and is a junior fellow in the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He and his wife have four children, ranging from 9 to 1 year old. He speaks French fluently and is an avid skier, soccer player and golfer.
