Ritesh Dhar, MD, MS

Dr. Ritesh Dhar, a cardiologist, is now serving patients at Utah Heart Clinic, located within Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.

After completing his medical degree at Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Dhar served as a medical resident at Tufts University’s New England Medical Center and as a clinical research fellow at Tufts University’s Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences. He then completed fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and advanced cardiovascular imaging at the Heart and Vascular Institute at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

Board-certified in cardiovascular medicine, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and internal medicine, Dr. Dhar brings to Utah Heart Clinic a multimodality and patient-centered approach to cardiac diagnostic testing, with advanced training in Cardiac CT, MRI, PET, and echocardiography. He is also interested in studying ways to effectively streamline the use of cardiac testing to optimize patient outcomes and lower health-care costs, and has been involved in clinical and population-based research at institutions within the US and abroad with the CDC.

Dr. Dhar is a dedicated musician of the tabla, an instrument used in Indian Classical Music, and he enjoys international travel, landscape and architectural photography, and trekking.
