Russell J. Osguthorpe, MD

Dr. Russell J. Osguthorpe is now offering pediatric infectious disease services at Utah Valley Pediatric Specialists in Provo. Dr. Osguthorpe earned his medical degree from McGill University, in Montreal, Quebec and is board-certified in both pediatrics and pediatric infectious diseases. After completing his residency at The Children’s Hospital, within the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Dr. Osguthorpe traveled to St. Louis, Missouri where he became a fellow and then research fellow for pediatric infectious diseases at Washington University School of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics. Most recently, Dr. Osguthorpe served as a Pediatric Infectious Diseases instructor at Washington University School of Medicine.

Dr. Osguthorpe was selected as the recipient of the Pediatric infectious Diseases Society based on five years of research focused on Histoplasma capsulatum, which he conducted in connection with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Fellowship in Basic Research. In addition, he presented related research findings in the United States and France.
