Budge Clinic Internal Medicine Earns 2011 HealthInsight Quality Award

Congratulations go to Budge Clinic Internal Medicine doctors and staff. The Internal Medicine department was recently named as a 2011 Physician Office HealthInsight Quality Award recipient. The department won the same award in 2010 as well.

The Physician Office HealthInsight Quality Award is presented to physician practices that are successful in four criteria:

• Adoption of health information technology
• Regular use of population care management methods
• Participation in a data reporting quality initiative, and
• Exemplary performance on nationally-recognized clinical outcome measures

The Budge Clinic Internal Medicine physician team includes Agnes M. Szpunar, M.D., David S. Faux, M.D.; Michael R. Francis, D.O.; Jeffrey M. Huffman, M.D.; Robert M. Nash, M.D.; Michael J. Stones, M.D.; and Jeffrey S. Strong, M.D.

Budge Clinic Internal Medicine was one of 56 physician office practices statewide who received the HealthInsight Quality Award.

Beginning in 2009, HealthInsight annually recognizes physician office practices for their effective use of health information technology, patient care management practices, as well as reporting of and exemplary performance on nationally-recognized quality of care measures. The Quality Award aims to promote excellence in health care.
