Dr. Shellie J. Ring, MD

Dr. Shellie Ring, MD, pediatrician in Riverton, UtahRiverton, Utah’s Southridge Pediatrics is excited to introduce pediatrician Shellie Ring, MD, who recently joined our clinic.

Dr. Ring earned her medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois. She then completed both a pediatrics internship and pediatrics residency at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. During her residency, Dr. Ring was a resident doctor at Mountain View Pediatrics & KidsCare in Sandy, Utah.

Dr. Ring practiced for a year as a pediatrician in Andover, Minnesota. Returning to Salt Lake City in 2001, she joined Wasatch Pediatrics’ Willowcreek Office.

Board certified in pediatrics, Dr. Ring earned the Pediatric Practice Award from the University of Utah School of Medicine. She has chaired the Department of Medicine at Primary Children’s Medical Center and served on the medical center’s Community Physician Campaign. In addition, she has served as Medical Director for the Camp Wyatt Asthma Camp and president of the Utah Chapter of the American Lung Association.

Dr. Ring belongs to the Utah Medical Association, the Intermountain Pediatric Society, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has volunteered in many capacities both during her training and as a doctor. She is particularly interested in vaccination campaigns, giving medical care to underserved populations, and childhood asthma care.

Outside of work, Dr. Ring’s interests include travel, gardening, and volunteering in the community.
