Berube named to Board of Trustees for Intermountain

S. Neal Berube, president and CEO of Associated Food Stores, has been named to serve on the Intermountain Healthcare Board of Trustees.

The Intermountain Healthcare Board of Trustees comprises 23 community leaders who volunteer their time without pay to direct the operations of the nonprofit organization. Board members set policy, provide input, and represent the interests of the community. In addition to Intermountain's central Board, the organization is guided by trustees on governing boards for hospitals and other care services, as well as charitable foundation boards. Berube has been serving on Intermountain's governing board of McKay-Dee Hospital Center since January 2010.

Berube leads Associated Food Stores, which is an independent retailer-owned food distributor to more than 400 independent grocers throughout the Intermountain West. Berube joined Associated Food Stores in August 1990. Previously, he was employed by Deloitte in Salt Lake City, Utah. He also worked for United Savings Bank and Western Mortgage Loan Corp. He is a graduate of Weber State University.
