Darcie Gorman, MD

Dr. Darcie Gorman, GI doctor in Salt Lake City, UtahDr. Darcie Gorman, a Gastroenterologist, joins the Avenues Specialty Clinic, in downtown Salt Lake City.

Dr. Gorman earned her medical degree at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN. She completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics, where she also served as Chief Medical Resident. She then completed her gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Utah.

Licensed and board-certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Gorman is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Physicians and the Utah Medical Association.

Dr. Gorman has been involved in research investigating the gastrointestinal complications of ablation for atrial fibrillation, and the inherited predisposition of Eosinophilic Esophagitis. She enjoyed volunteering at Camp Williams to aid Hurricane Katrina victims, with Nashville CARES to provide support to local AIDS patients, and as medical volunteer at Music City Marathon, among a myriad of other opportunities.

When not serving as a doctor or volunteer, Dr. Gorman enjoys hiking, biking, and skiing with her husband, and participating in competitive running and triathlons. She has earned first place amongst women in many of events, including the Squaw Peak 50 mile trail run and the Park City marathon.
