Southridge Pediatrics 2011 Excellence in Healthcare Award

Congratulations to our pediatricians and staff members for earning a 2011 Excellence in Healthcare Award in the categories of Childhood Immunizations and Adolescent Immunizations. The Excellence in Healthcare Award is given annually by SelectHealth to recognize doctors and clinics for providing exemplary care to their patients.

Southridge Pediatrics is one of almost two dozen Intermountain Healthcare clinics in the Salt Lake City area that received an Excellence in Healthcare Award for 2011.

Awards are given in the "Childhood Immunizations" category to clinics that have rates in the top ten percent or have met the designated benchmark of excellence below: 

• Cares for at least 30 or more SelectHealth members in the identified pediatric age range for the CoCASA survey
• 90% or higher for immunization rates for fully immunized pediatric patients by the age of two 
• Immunizations included in childhood CoCASA survey: 
  • DTAP - four doses 
  • HIB - three doses
  • MMR - one dose
  • IPV - three doses
  • Hep B - three doses
  • Varicella - one dose or history of disease
  • Pneumococcal - four doses 

Awards are given in the "Adolescent Immunizations" category to clinics that have rates in the top ten percent or have met the designated benchmark of excellence below:

• Cares for at least 30 SelectHealth members in the identified age range for the CoCASA survey 
• 90% or higher for immunization rates for fully immunized by age 13
• Immunizations included in adolescent CoCASA survey: 
  • Tdap or Td 
  • Meningococcal
