Rafe Connors, MD

Ogden Cardiovascular Associates introduces Dr. Rafe C. Connors, a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon. Dr. Connors was raised in Ogden and recently returned from Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, where he received advanced training in complex aortic and valvular heart disease.

Dr. Connors earned his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine. He remained at the university for his general surgery internship and residency, including a year as Chief Surgery Resident. Dr. Connors fulfilled a research fellowship with the university’s Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, in addition to a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

Dr. Connors has presented widely and authored many peer-reviewed articles. His topics of study included acute coronary ischemia, transthoracic esophagectomy, and preventing post-operative pericardial adhesion.

With board certifications in general surgery and thoracic surgery, Dr. Connors belongs to the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. He is fluent in German.
