Welcome George M. Cannon, MD

Intermountain Healthcare would like to welcome George M. Cannon, MD. Dr. Cannon is joining our cancer teams at both IMC and LDS Hospitals in Salt Lake City as a Radiation Oncologist. He is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, and for the last several years he has served as an Assistant Professor in the Radiation Oncology Department at the University of Wisconsin.

Dr. Cannon graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brigham Young University before earning his medical degree from the University of Utah. After an internship at LDS Hospital, he served a diagnostic radiology residency at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University followed by a radiation oncology residency at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Cannon’s research has revolved primarily around breast and lung cancer and has been published in numerous books, articles and abstracts.
