Free Riverton Hospital Seminar to Focus on Skin Care

RIVERTON, UT - Intermountain Riverton Hospital is hosting a free community seminar on healthy skin care on Tuesday, October 23rd at 6 p.m.

Adam Taintor, MD, a dermatologist at Riverton Hospital will lead this seminar and offer tips on maximizing your skin health.

Some of the questions that will be answered at the seminar:

  • Why does my skin break out in the summer?
  • Are expensive skin care products more effective than cheaper ones?
  • What causes adult acne?
  • Does laser therapy really stimulate collagen production?
  • Is the use of Botox dangerous?
  • How often should I get checked for skin cancer?
Dr. Taintor will also discuss the effect that sun exposure to healthy skin care.
“Most of us have gotten a lot more sun exposure than we should have, especially when we were younger, he says. “Even wearing sunscreen now can make a significant difference to our skin, including reducing the number of skin cancers we get as well as aging. Using a good moisturizer with sunscreen is the most important skin regimen you can follow.”
 
The seminar will be held in Riverton/Herriman conference rooms on the first floor of Riverton Hospital, 3741 West 12600 South. Enter through the southeast entrance doors.
