TOSH Shovel Brigade Campaign to Give Out Free Shovels To Help Utahns Who Are Unable to Shovel Their Snow

WHAT:
TOSH – The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital is launching a new Good Samaritan campaign called the “TOSH Shovel Brigade” to help Utah residents who are unable to shovel snow from their driveways and walkways.

With the heavy snowfall this winter season, orthopedic specialists from the TOSH Back and Neck Center and TOSH Intermountain Spine Institute have seen a spike in the number of people who have injured their backs while shoveling snow. To help combat this, TOSH is launching the TOSH Shovel Brigade in which the hospital is giving away 100 free snow shovels to Utahns who sign a pledge promising to use the shovels to help neighbors and others who are physically unable or at-risk for injury to shovel their driveways and walkways.

TOSH specialists will unveil the campaign and talk about preventive steps that people should take to reduce their risk of injury while shoveling.
