Children's Museum Fun Exhibit to focus on Healthy Choices

Next year, a new children's museum at Thanksgiving Point will feature a miniature city, Kidopolis, with an unique healthcare experience thanks, in part, to a $300,000 donation from Intermountain Healthcare. The Museum of Natural Curiosity is expected to open in spring 2014.

The donation will support current construction of the museum and will provide a permanent Intermountain LiVe Well interactive exhibit in Kidopolis. The space will be a kid-friendly environment with interactive activities for guests to learn the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.

"This new exhibit will be a wonderful, unique opportunity for families to learn together about nutrition and exercise with fun, hands-on exhibits," said Varden Hadfield, director of major gifts at Thanksgiving Point. "We are thrilled to partner with a visionary leader in healthcare in creating this experience."

"We are delighted to partner with Thanksgiving Point in its efforts to educate families on the importance of healthy living," said Mikelle Moore, president of the Intermountain Community Care Foundation.

The Museum of Natural Curiosity will feature more than 150 interactive exhibits to educate arts, sciences, history, and culture. The museum will be located adjacent to the existing Garden Center and will be a first-of-its-kind type of children's museum in the nation. For more information, go to MuseumofNaturalCuriosity.org.
