Intermountain Wins Innovation Award For Healthcare Supply Chain

Intermountain Healthcare’s Supply Chain Organization was named the winner of the 2013 Award for Healthcare Supply Chain Innovation. The honor comes from the Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management of the American Hospital Association  (AHRMM), a 4,300-member organization for supply chain professionals worldwide.

Intermountain was recognized for implementing innovative ideas and concepts that demonstrate positive results. “I’m very proud to have many leading-edge professionals working toward adding real value in our Supply Chain Organization,” said Brent Johnson, Intermountain’s Vice President of Supply Chain and Support Services. “This award is a major recognition of the ongoing efforts and creative thinking that help to position us for the future.”

Intermountain's Supply Chain Organization is recognized as a leader in efforts to reduce supply costs by specifying, purchasing, and distribution supplies wisely, as well as by effectively providing a range of support services. These efforts saved an estimated $55 million in 2012.
