Welcome Leigh Anna Thompson, MD

Dr. Leigh Anna Thompson grew up in a military family moving several times throughout the United States. Her family eventually settled in Georgia where she completed her medical training at Mercer University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Utah where she had the opportunity to practice abroad in Ghana and Kenya. After completing residency, she returned to Georgia where she spent six years providing primary care to a wonderful rural community through their hospital, outpatient clinic, and nursing home. Her family’s love of the West brought them back to Salt Lake City recently and she is excited to join the team of care providers at Alta View Senior Clinic. In her free time you can find her enjoying time with her family, traveling or playing in the great outdoors of Utah.
