Chairman Receives Becker's Healthcare Leadership Award

Salt Lake City – Becker’s Hospital Review recently presented a Becker’s Healthcare 2015 Leadership Award to A. Scott Anderson, Chairman of the Intermountain Healthcare Board of Trustees. The award honors leaders who have made notable contributions to healthcare on local, national, and global levels and who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to better their organizations and solve healthcare’s broader challenges.

In nominating him for this recognition, Charles Sorenson, MD, President and CEO of Intermountain, said, “Scott has been highly effective in gaining the support of community leaders for Intermountain’s mission and for sound healthcare policy. His efforts and influence in our community have greatly enhanced Intermountain’s ability to improve the health and healthcare of the citizens of Utah.”

Award winners were selected by a panel of Becker’s editorial team members and healthcare industry experts. Those honored include leaders from hospitals and health systems, university medical and health sciences programs, government agencies, and public policy groups.
