Intermountain Recognized as a “Fit-Friendly Worksite”

Salt Lake City – For the third year in a row, Intermountain Healthcare has been recognized by the American Heart Association (AHA) as a Gold-level “Fit-Friendly Worksite” for demonstrating a strong commitment to providing a healthy workplace for employees.

The designation is awarded to employers across the United States who fulfill key criteria, such as offering employees physical activity support, increasing healthy eating options at work and promoting a wellness culture.

“Our range of LiVe Well initiatives and refocused mission of ‘Helping people live the healthiest lives possible,’ align nicely with the overall objectives of AHA’s Fit-Friendly Worksite program,” says Terri Flint, Director of Employee Wellness for Intermountain. “We’re honored by the recognition, but the biggest reward is knowing we’re helping provide Intermountain employees with the tools and environment to help them make healthy changes in their lives.”
