WHAT:

Two days after delivering her beautiful baby on November 8, 2015, Arlee was unconscious and on a gurney being rushed from the maternity floor to the Shock Trauma Intensive Care Unit at Intermountain Medical Center. A nurse was riding on the gurney, continuing chest compressions, fighting to keep this new Utah mom alive.

Following an hour and 15 minutes of chest compressions and CPR, Arlee was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism and quickly treated for the deadly blood clot that had lodged in her lungs.

One month later, the Gregerson family is returning to Intermountain Medical Center to reunite with and thank the teams of experts that saved Arlee’s life so she could be the mom to her newborn daughter, and celebrate the holidays as a family.

“The entire team at Intermountain Medical Center was willing to fight for my wife Arlee,” said Ryan Gregerson, Arlee’s husband. “They went above and beyond what was necessary in order to help my wife survive and we are very grateful for that.”
