Intermountain Healthcare Again Named as One of the Nation’s Best Places to Work

Intermountain Healthcare has been named by Forbes as one of “America’s Best Employers” this week.  The designation marks the second straight year that Intermountain was included among the best workplaces in America.

To create their annual list of the nation’s best employers, Forbes conducts an online survey of more than 30,000 U.S. workers, which asks how likely they were to recommend their employer to someone else and how they felt about other employers in their industry. Employees were contacted anonymously online without the involvement of their employer.

Intermountain, which was ranked number 95 overall on the list of 500 top U.S. employers, was one of three Utah organizations to be recognized. The others were Intercontinental Hotels Group and the University of Utah. A total of 20 American health systems were included on the list. More information on the study is available at http://www.forbes.com/best-employers/.

The rankings help Intermountain in their recruiting efforts for future leaders and employees to the company.

“It’s great to receive this designation because when we go to the marketplace we want to recruit from the top talent. We are not solely recruiting among other healthcare companies. But top-tier talent all industries,” said Corey Heller, Human Resources Vice President for Intermountain.

Intermountain also was recognized this week by Becker’s Hospital Review who named the healthcare company among their “150 Best Places to Work in Healthcare” in the United States (see the list at http://www.beckershospitalreview.com/lists/150-great-places-to-work-in-healthcare-2016.html). No other Utah hospitals or systems were included in the listing.

Forbes and Becker's Hospital Review both add Intermountain Healthcare to best places to work lists.
